The Malibu Group Adds Four New Staffers

Blue Ash—Local mergers and acquisitions consulting firm The Malibu Group has added four new members to its staff. Led by founder Peter Kubasek, the company helps mid-size businesses buy, sell, value and improve the financial strategies of their organizations. New staffers are Dave Engel, Maryam Kubasek, Todd Pfister and Jerry Reiner.

Formerly Vice President of Finance at Provident Bank, Engel brings senior financial management perspective and a hands-on approach to the Malibu Group’s mergers and acquisitions advisory practice. He anticipates and addresses client needs while providing strategic leadership and insights regarding business valuation, acquisition and divestiture.

Kubasek, who was formerly Director of Communications for the National Coalition for the Protection of Children & Families, develops the Malibu Group’s collateral materials, refines its messages, helps develop its marketing strategies and maintains its media relations.

Prior to joining the Malibu Group, Pfister was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Business Officer for PowerNet Global, for which he spearheaded the mergers and acquisitions activity. He currently has responsibility to manage and grow relationships at the Malibu Group while providing strategic operating and mergers and acquisitions insight.

Reiner’s background includes key positions with a variety of firms including Hallmark Cards. He currently manages the Malibu Group’s prospecting and search functions, helping identify potential buyers and sellers for existing clients. In addition, he assists Malibu Group clients with change and turnaround management, identifying customer values, team building and employee motivation.
