As Director of Communications for The Malibu Group, Maryam Kubasek handles the production of the company’s collateral materials, oversees its media relations and helps develop and implement its marketing strategies.
She joined The Malibu Group from the National Coalition for the Protection of Children & Families where she served as Director of Communications for almost 10 years. During her tenure with the National Coalition, she spearheaded several national education projects and media campaigns, served as one of the organization’s spokespersons, wrote and produced many of the group’s collateral materials, worked with newspapers, radio, TV and Internet media throughout the nation and crafted the organization's vision and strategies.
For two years, Maryam was head of To the Point, a local public relations consulting firm in Loveland. Prior to moving to Cincinnati from Southern California, she was Assistant Director of Public Information at Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. She was editor of the university’s 16-page alumni publication and worked with media throughout Southern California. Maryam earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from John Brown University and is a former board member for the Cincinnati chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Maryam is a native Texan, has been married 20+ years and has two young sons.
